Honda’s New Commercial featuring the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe

We at Union Park Honda love the creativity found in Honda’s new commercial. Honda just launched a 30-second commercial called “Square” which shows how the 2016 Civic Coupe stands apart in a boring world.

The commercial starts off with everything being square: the people, the cars, and even a dog! Then the new Civic Coupe drives onto the screen. With its sleek curves and sporty design, it has sleek style in an otherwise boring and boxy world.

Going a step further with the commercial, its format is even square! The commercial is confined to a square image until the Civic arrives, at which point it expands into a full screen. In addition to the commercial, there are other forms of media including print and digital that also will highlight the Civic’s performance.

Honda wants to use the new design to challenge the way people perceive the world around them. By using new styling, Honda is resetting expectations of a compact car and breaking the rules of conformity.
