Honda is raking in the awards this year, including a recent award for winning so many awards. The KBB Overall Best Buy award was recently giving to the Honda Civic, with the HR-V coming in second. This prestigious honor is given to the most awarded cars of 2016 in each category, vehicles that earn awards for quality, design, performance, customer satisfaction, and more. So, it’s official: Honda has some of the best cars on the market.
According to Honda, the Honda brand was the most awarded manufacturer on the KBB list. In addition to the first- and second-place winners, the new Honda CR-V also won multiple awards, including the Best Small SUV and Best Buy award. The Honda Civic, however, was hands down the overall winner thanks to impressive fuel economy, sporty styling, and affordability.
“No car won more Kelley Blue Book awards in 2016 than the totally redesigned Honda Civic. No car won a wider range of awards, either. And no car won a bigger award. One of our 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000, one of our 16 Best Family Cars, and our Overall Best Buy of 2016 — and that’s not half of its haul — the newest Civic is something special just about any way you look at it,” reads the KBB official website.
Meanwhile, the HR-V came in second place, which is especially remarkable considering this is the first year that this model was on the market. This subcompact SUV won awards such as the Best Family Car award, the 5-Year Cost to Own award, and it was named one of the 10 Best SUVs under $25k. The new Honda model lineup is truly impressive, winning more awards than any other brand.
