Buying a car is an exciting time of your life, no matter how many times you have done it. However, you have probably felt a bigger emotional attachment towards some of your cars than you have for other ones. Each year, J.D. Power & Associates study the emotional attachment and excitement. In this year’s 2018 APEAL awards, both the 2018 Honda Accord and Ridgeline earned segment awards.1
APEAL stands for “Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout.” J.D. Power uses this study to measure a vehicle’s overall appeal. The study evaluated 77 different attributes of the car-buying process, based on owners’ feedback. The criteria ranged from the feeling of power to how comfortable they felt sitting behind the wheel.
The 2018 Accord came away with the best score in the Midsize Car category while the 2018 Ridgeline was the crowd pleaser in the Midsize Pickup segment. This is the second year in a row that the Ridgeline has earned this award. Both models earned high marks across the board for their features, performance, design, and technology.
The 2018 CR-V and the 2018 Odyssey placed in the top three, in their respective segments of Compact SUV and Minivan. The CR-V received accolades for its comfort and performance, while the Odyssey was lauded for its sharp styling.
Test-drive any of these award-winning models for yourself when you stop by Union Park Honda.
