Nemours Mansion And Garden – Wilmington
Taking its inspiration from 18th century French estates, the Nemours Mansion and Garden features a french-style garden with a large reflection pool. Rich vibrant colors and perfectly-trimmed bushes abound. You can even tour the mansion and see marbled walls and gorgeous chandeliers!
Longwood Gardens – Kennett Square, PA
Named by USA Today as the Best Public Garden in the entire country, Longwood Gardens offers guided tours of its extensive indoor and outdoor displays. Expect rich and diverse color as the gardens offer a variety of flora. Just be sure and give yourself plenty of time to explore–Longwood Gardens is bigger than Central Park.
Mt. Cuba Center – Hockessin
This area offers a wilder scene, where ungroomed and lush fields of wildflowers bloom every year. Taking a stroll through these fields is a one-of-a-kind experience. There are formal gardens at Mt. Cuba Center near the mansion known as Main House.
